DSI is designed to run on a wide range of computers, including Mac OS X, Windows, Linux, and Solaris. Follow the steps below to install DSI on your computer.

Install Instructions

1) Get Java

Mac OS X Users
Jump straight to step 2. Apple builds Java right into Mac OS X.

Ubuntu Linux Users
See the special install instructions for Ubuntu.

Download and install the latest version of Java directly from Sun by clicking on the button below.

Note: If you already have Java 5 installed on your computer, you do not need to install Java again (but it won't hurt).

2) Download DSI Install File (Version 2.0)

From the table below, download the install file appropriate for your computer.

Windows XP/Vista
Install File	Notes
DSI-Installer-v2.0.exe (44KB)	Save the install file to a location such as your Desktop and then double-click the file to start the installation. Updated: May 2009

Generic Executable JAR File (ALL JAVA PLATFORMS)
Install Files	Notes
dsi.jar (8KB) ReadMe.txt (1KB)	Save the JAR file and ReadMe file to a convenient location, such as: `~/apps/dsi/` Updated: May 2009
